I started my business in December of 2003, looking for something else in my life, getting out of the "grind" and finding the wonderful opportunity of Mary Kay. My life changed for the better everyday since I took that leap of faith. If you have ever stayed up late on a Sunday night, just so that you don't have to wake up on that Monday morning, you know that feeling I was experiencing. I would hit the snooze button way too many times and be grumbling as I woke up. Mary Kay was that opportunity for me to change my life and wake up every morning excited and, yes, happy! It is a smart business decision and it gives women a chance to decide what their future will hold.
I played Division I collegiate volleyball for the University of Evansville for four years, graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Sports Studies. I was married the summer after graduation (to my best friend, Todd Ferris..aawww!) and began my Master's Degree in Sports Administration while I worked as an Employment Consultant in the Special Education Dept. of a high school. I was also coaching their volleyball team. Although I loved the students, sport, and education I was receiving, I knew I wanted more......more money, more praise, more happiness, more success, more flexibility, and a positive work environment. So, in an answer to a prayer, God brought my Senior Sales Director, Beth Drew, back into my life to give me an opportunity. I took it. I went all in and saw that this could be my vehicle to a new life. And not just any vehicle, the rolls royce of business opportunities!
My first 6 months I became Queen of Recruiting, Runner-Up in Sales, and Rookie of the Year. My husband also won Husband of the Year. The next year I earned Queen of Sales and Recruiting and I debuted on stage at Seminar as a brand new Sales director!
One year later, we are a CADILLAC UNIT with the use of FREE CADDY! We earned a HUGE paycheck in just 1 year of doing MK full time for over $11,000 (plus the $2000 profit from what I sold that month!) so over $13,000 in ONE MONTH because I took a chance on this opportunity! I am now able to work from home and make my own schedule. I lead a WONDERFUL unit of women, the Ferris Fate-Makers, and we are an up-and-coming National Area in the making! We are going to become a HALF MILLION $ UNIT this year and offspring Directors from our Unit so they can do the same! As a unit we have earned 4 FREE Cars in the 5 years I have been doing this and I have been on the Queen's Court of Sales twice and earned 2 gorgeous diamond rings. I knew we could all "have it all" and fit God, Family and Career together and balance them to live a life that WE create and decide one!
I wake up every day thanking God for this career and I know I will reach all those goals and dreams with His help and a positive attitude,.......and so can you!
