Hi Sherril,  I enjoyed listening to you speak tonight about holiday ideas on your conference call.  Thanks for your never-ending enthusiasm!  I have yet to meet Mary Falkenberg, but just read a ton of her guest book entries going back to Seminar in August.  I am amazed at her enthusiasm and daily affirmations.  I remember feeling that excitement years ago in my MK past when I never missed Seminar and I had the privilege of seeing my Director, Sherril, in person.   My life took such a different turn when I found myself in a new role as overseeing the care of both my parents.  Now that role has been fulfilled.  I gave them many years and loads of my energy.  I'm also feeling better about myself having read about how old Mary was when she began MK and how old she is now, being a DIQ!  And here I've questioned whether I can continue or get re-enthused about my MK career after the length of time I've been with the company and looking at which birthday is coming in December for me!  I will be praying about what direction God wants me to take at this time. I am so excited and motivated. We can start taking before and after pictures..wow..I want my customer to win that $4000 trip for her and her husband.  On Dec. 20th, she will put that voucher in his stocking and won't that be a fun surprise??

 I am so motivated and so excited.  My Christmas open house is today, but when people are not here, I can book back to school make over parties. I will bring my assistant along to help me with my bags. ( a prospective consultant of mine)I will persevere..perseverance is what I have always been like. Ask anyone how many times I ran for the Harbor Beach School board until I won a four year term and I was able to hand my son Paul his diploma on stage at graduation.  I am pleased with the folks that e-mailed me, called me, or wrote me snail mail that they could not attend today because I was worried that some people's parents never taught them what R.S.V.P. means.  I love touching people's lives in MK. I am tracking, booking, and I know what I am doing different in September that I never did before.. One of my greatest changes is bringing an assistant with me. I cannot wait until my candlelight ceremony when I become a director.On this day, God wants you to know..that all is well. All is going according to plan. Trust that there is a bigger picture. Trust that life is unfolding as it should. I cannot wait until the Christmas meeting September 13th at Sherril Steinman's home. There were six red jackets at Amy Scrimger's meeting tonight, and we were able to sit in front with red seat covers at a table.  We saw a great training movie! There were red balloons at the entrance! There were tons of guests, and one gal got the prize for having five guests. So, next time I go there I am going to have six guests!!I just set another high goal for myself!I was queen of sales..yippee!

Thank you for everything.  You opening the Director's meetings to all Reds meant everything.  The encouragement and vision that we all receive there is just what I needed to get me out of my comfort zone, and move on to a bigger future.  I received my new Malibu, and have joined ranks with my fabulous Director Shelly Smith in teaching the Success meetings.  My unit is ON THE MOVE and I know the training and encouragement that you and Judy have provided, has given me a great foundation.

I did not tell her inventory options until after she was pinned last night and had put her debit card number down, etc. You explained everything wonderful Sherril for her. Sherril..I am so excited!! I can hardly wait to meet Jan Wright at the corner to go to your home tonight and my guest is coming from the other way..Melanie.  I started the day out singing "I have the joy,joy,joy, down in my heart...and you cannot help but be motivated and enthusiastic after singing that song. Then, I was the guest speaker at the bible study LWML meeting at Al's at 8 am am and then, I won at bridge. I had not been to bridge for a long time so my customers were ordering products there and we had three tables of bridge..This is only the second time I have gone to bridge this summer and I have been first both times so they are not going to want me to come again..ha..lol..I am bringing balloons for the tables, chairs, and molasses cookies , etc.. and prizes for my two gals..I will be pinning Melanie.  I have known Melanie a long time because our husbands are both beekeepers.  I have been averaging ten show weeks for the last four weeks.  My sales for week 8/8 to 8/14 were $1,767.00 and about half are new customers. My sales for week  8/15 to 8/21 are 1,503.00 and about half are new customers.  My customers can't wait until they win the $4000 trip for their picture that I will put on my web site. I have my picture taken for my web site holding the lavender that will be my special for the month and I will change it every month holding a different product that is on sale. Thanks for the idea Sherril!!!Melanie will be giving me her debit card number tonight. She filled out the agreement otherwise earlier.  After she becomes a consultant tonight, she can decide what inventory she wants to start with. I started with $600, and Jan started with almost $4000. I wished I would have started with more.

Gang, my efforts are blessed! Gang, you are in control and your time is NOW! What fabulous dreams and goals have you chosen for yourself and your unit? DisneyWorld or what??Mary Kay designed a truly ingenious plan. Absorb the lessons Ann is teaching you.  I have drive and am enthusiastic and having a fabulous, magnificent commitment day!I will emerge and embark as a leader with the power to transform women's lives in unbelievable ways.  I am having one of the most memorable times of my life!  I will always love to recall and hare and focus with others my Mary Kay journey!

Book two classes every day. I have two classes today. Oh, it was awesome with Gloria Mayfield Banks. I had my picture taken with her out in the hall when no one else was out there, and she took two pictures of us both on her cell phone, because she loves the messages I put on her unitnet site. I was number one and was able to talk to the 200 people because I was the only DIQ there that night. I had so many hugs from all the directors I knew there because I had met them at sherril's red jacket/director meeting Friday and other times.  I had met one of the nationals at a luncheon in Jacksonville, Fl and I had met the other national at career conference two years ago.  I always sit at a different table and meet different gals at Sherril's meetings with Judy Kawicki. Have ten show classes every week from seminar to seminar which is my high goal..and I keep meeting new customers at these parties and keep interviewing new gals that way. When people are ready, they come knocking on my door. I have a little break right now so I came to the library to check my email. See you Monday night Sherril for Christmas..one guest and one consultant so far attending with me. I will bring cookies and chairs. You run into your customers at the library, too, and they tell you what they are out of.

Just wanted to let you know that I sold $491 at a Mother/Daughter party! Had lots of fun!

Hi Sherrill, Thanks so much for your mentoring me through your CD's and site.  I LOVED your teaching of praising the hostess as each person introduces themself at the class, then telling them how they can help her win a gift by booking a party.  I have done three classes in the last three weeks and started doing this.  I have been able to book more than I ever did before!!  At the second class I booked everyone there! Two parties and two gals are doing a party together (double party)!!  Woo Hoo! I am so excited.  I have also been using your hostess plan where the hostess gets the empty compact for a guest list of 10 names, addresses and numbers. I have never gotten this many names on guest lists before and OF COURSE it is helping the classes to HOLD and not cancel.  THANK YOU AGAIN for your awesome ideas that are truly WORKING!!! Expect great things and great things will happen.  I am expecting four facials at 8,same at ten, at  twelve,at two, at four, and at six at my home tomorrow..my ten active consultants can come with their customers too..a come as you are party..innovative..some will drop in while they are on the highway all day 25 highway garage sale..Praise People to Success..I learned so much today Sherril and Judy at your red jacket/director meeting..even from the gals at my table..they shared with me also..There is a carrot/prize for consultants coming with their customer tomorrow. I can, I am determined, I am persistent, I am confident, I take action, I send Ann Sherman my six most important list every day, I listen to pink blast every day, I call ten or more every day, I am happy, I feel great, I love my journey, I order $1000 wholesale plus every month, I do a ten show week every week between seminar to the next seminar, and I get to hear Gloria Mayfield Banks, and eat dinner with Gloria Monday night.  We missed Ann sherman as our guest speaker, but I told her if she comes for another meeting before Christmas I will pay her air fare to tri-city airport and pick her up at the airport.  Sherril announced that she thought Ann would be here before Christmas and she is going to try and get Sean again for February Valentine's Day time.  This has been the most exciting day in my life.

I had the most fun Christmas coffee with fun gals this morning. I did the miracle set on their hands and satin hands and then passed around all the new that I received at seminar.  Sales were around $300.  Don't tell me people do not shop early for Christmas.  They all filled out an elf list, too! Amazing!  I know I am supposed to receive a recruit from every class, but they are the kind that have to think about it.  We have a real advantage having the new earlier than the rest I think. I had my hair cut. I had lunch with Pat, and she treated me. She is going to have a Holiday coffee for me, too, and she is going to refer everyone to me. Indira Gandhi said, "The purpose of life is to believe,to hope, & to strive."Next, I get my nails done.

Just coming home from our mountaintop experience in Dallas has me on fire.  I am bringing cookies for Sherril tonight. I have a huge vision and focus for this year. And I am doing ten show weeks every week from now til seminar..a huge goal ...but I can do it ..last week was nine shows and week before was ten shows. If Ryan Rogers can do it (he was hilarious), we can all do it. I forwarded Julie Weaver's speech to my team and others. My girl friend Ruth Adamek in Atlanta sent it to me.  She is a director, and she gave me her business card a long time ago and I had put it on my goal poster in 1999 so I did goal posters before I was in Mary Kay. It was because my friend told me to do goal posters with her.  I showed it to Ann Sherman.  Ruth has had lots of health issues but has been able to keep her directorship.

We are so excited about your meeting tomorrow night about seminar.  I am taking big action and going DIQ this month.  A lot of people think I cannot do it, but I pray I prove them wrong. With God, all things are possible.  You have to know how to pick yourself up after you have failed and keep going.  We call it bounce back ability.  My parents taught me in our home while growing up.  We learned how to maintain persistence in the face of rejection and other real-world challenges! We have a win-win for all concerned.
Mary Kay is faring relatively well at times when the economy at large is doing poorly.  I have had an upsurge in the popularity of Mary Kay.  The smart ones are joining Mary Kay this year, and they see the future!  Thepower of my connections and my determination allows me to build a highly successful business.  The products sell themselves!
Wow..Mary B..you go girl..it was fun having my picture with you at seminar and at the beach barbeque in Birch Run, and I even was able to sit next to you in Birch Run. Will I see you August 13th?

Sherril, I have been in Mary Kay for six years...I love it.  You have  inspired me  since I first heard a CD a few years ago on your I story and see you on stage every Seminar. I  am a Chamber of Commerce ex.director, have taken a small festival and turned into a huge event similar to one of your stories.  I was able tol keep my directorship for four years while keeping my job, but unfortunately just lost my directorship due to a loss in the family and a life happening alot.  We are from go give area and am asking for your encouragement. God prompted a change in my life three and a half years ago.  It was a leap of faith to start my own Mary Kay business at age 67 years. God has truly blessed me with work I love to do.  I am blessed knowing that my efforts have helped many grow in Mary Kay.  Giving and Go give are a part of Mary Kay.  I have been truly blessed as I have seen God's grace at work in my life as He leads me in my Mary Kay journey.  MK was changed from tomorrow until September. So, I did not make my ten show week goal, but sales were $1000.00 for the week.
