The Comfort Zone

I used to have a comfort zone
where I knew I couldn't fail,
The same four walls & busy work
were really more like jail
I longed so much to do the things
I'd never done before,
But I stayed inside my comfort zone
and paced the same old floor
I said it didn't matter
that I wasn't doing much,
I said I didn't care for things
like diamonds, furs and such
I claimed to be so busy
with the things inside my zone,
But deep inside I longed for
something special of my own
I couldn't let my life go by
just watching others win,
so I held my breath and stepped outside
to let the change begin
I took a step and with new strength
I'd never felt before,
I kissed my comfort zone good bye
and closed and locked the door
If you are in a comfort zone
afraid to venture out,
Remember that all winners
were at one time filled with doubt
A step or two and words of praise
can make your dreams come true
Greet your future with a smile,
success is there for you!

Our unit's theme is Follow Your Heart. When you book your first 8 appointments, you earn our unit pin which is a little heart with footprints on it to remind us of our mission. I firmly believe that God gives us a dream because he wants us to accomplish it and that when we follow our dreams our path will be blessed. Why not step out on faith and work towards what we really want? If we are going to dream, why not dream big? Do you really want to set mediocre goals and get mediocre results? Why not set big goals and, even if we fall short, have terrific results? (and learn what we can do differently to succeed next time) You won't get what you don't ask for and you won't earn what you don't shoot for.
I didn't know that I would be able to earn a car or become a director or even sell Mary Kay. I trusted my director's belief in me and just did everything she told me to until I was able to prove to myself that I could be successful. There have been so many times in my career that I didn't know how something was going to happen, I just trusted that if I did the work, God would provide the results. My director told me to work like everything depended on me and pray like everything depended on God. And you know what, he has never let me down. When I do the work, the results are always there. I want to challenge you all to work on faith this month. Set your goal, do the work and let God provide the results.
