Week before Christmas plan list

Wow, what an exciting week you can have as you begin the last week before Christmas. Personally my Christmas cards need to go out, (better than June, when I sent them out last year), I have a mountain of things that need wrapped, a trip left to Toys R Us (I'm dreading this one), baking that needs done, 2 Christmas concerts for my children, two children's class Christmas parties, company to prepare for, etc. etc. etc. Does your list sound like mine? Maybe it's bigger. These are my thoughts for your business this week.

First make a goal of how much you want to sell this week. This could easily by a 1000 week if you want it to be.

Second, make a list of every business that you frequent, as well as the ones that you pass on a regular basis.

Third, put your basket of gifts in your car, get dressed up and go out the door.

This week focus needs to be on 15-20 minute appointments with people. These can be reorder customers, doctor's offices, Jiffy Lube, and every little business that you can possibly come in contact with. Say something like this to the manager. "Hello, my name is_________ and I'm a consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics. I have a professional gift buying service, with presents already gift-wrapped. Each gift comes with a 100% guarantee. Could I take a few minutes on your employees break to offer them the opportunity to finish their Christmas shopping?" Take your basket everywhere you go, seriously the doctor's office, the vet, the drug store. The successes in our unit alone with people who are making sales and getting leads are phenomenal. Remember when you are there to warm chatter along the way. These can be your appointments for the 26th-31st.

If you are feeling the pressure of the holiday, so is every one else. That woman whose children are up and grown, women in the 20's, single women have a few less responsibilities, generally speaking. They will be your best bet for actual facials and classes this week. This is still a great week for holiday gift shows at businesses and in people's homes. If it's really cold where you are, that's all the more reason for you to come to their home, versus them going to the mall.

OK, so the first step this week is to make lots of last minute Christmas sales. Husbands and men are great places to start.

Step 2 begin to get yourself set up for the 26th-31st. This is a phenomenal week to make a lot of money, to hold a lot of appointments, and to have a tremendous amount of fun with your customers. Hold New Year's Eve glamour clinics, in your home or theirs. Hold winter skin appointments. Begin to book these today, and get your confirmation notes in the mail today. Director Jill Benavides has shared that for years this is her favorite week of the year. Customers have Christmas money they want to spend, and she becomes the source of entertainment for family that is visiting from out of town. New NSD Nancy Moser for years held appointments in her home all day for women to come have a makeover on New Years Eve. Women go to the salon to get their nails and hair done, they also will schedule appointments to get their make-up done.

Have fun this week. Strategy in this business is looking at your potential customers, and making a plan that works smart for them and you! Have a terrific holiday selling week!
