OUR POLICY:
When schools are closed we will not have any meetings. But it's a perfect time to do PHONE & SOCIAL MEDIA COMMUNICATION... EVERYONE'S HOME!! :)

IMPORTANT!! i just called the FOREST LAKE SCHOOL School District Emergency Weather Hotline: (651) 982-8143 and found out that SCHOOL ACTIVITIES ARE CANCELED FOR THIS EVENING AND AFTER SCHOOL.... So no meeting tonight! EVERYONE WILL BE HOME! So it is a GREAT NIGHT FOR A BOOKING BLITZ!!!!!!
Even if you are not in the SNOW BELT THERE ARE IDEAS FOR YOU, TOO!!!....

We are having a FROZEN FIESTA BOOKING BLITZ!! Who will BOOK the MOST APPOINTMENTS by MIDNIGHT??? All bookings - Facials, Parties, Guests for next Monday's Meeting & Team Building Appointments count! Bookings must be for the next TWO WEEKS! There will be TOP PRIZES for the ones who BOOK THE MOST TOTAL (over TEN), the one who books THE MOST PARTIES (over FIVE), the MOST FACIALS (over FIFTEEN), and the MOST TEAM BUILDING APPOINTMENTS/GUESTS (over FIVE)! EVERYONE WHO BOOKS at least FIVE will get recognition and a prize! Email or fax me a list of names, phone numbers/emails, dates, and kind of appointment booked! List must be in my office by Tuesday 9 AM. LET THE TEMPERATURE RISE!

I Love this Snowy Day! ...
It is SNOWING this morning... I had such wonderful plans for today.... an interview at 1:00, and a guest event an hour or so away tonight. Now I will be stuck here at home the entire day... the desk is piled high with what I need to do......... I might as well go back to bed and forget it all........ Wait a minute..... WAIT A MINUTE!!!!!!!!!! What am I saying! There's SO MUCH that can be accomplished today! Here's a list of what CAN be done!
1. CALLING CUSTOMERS! Everyone else around me is stuck at home too! This is a great day to get in touch with all those "lost" people on my customer list! I can get the list updated, delete those who are no longer customers and SELL and BOOK those who are!
2. BOOK A PERFECT START! It is always a good time to START AGAIN! Did you promise yourself you would get going in the new year? TODAY'S THE DAY! I can book my eight classes for the first two weeks of February! I can even come up with a great Valentine HOSTESS CONTEST for those two weeks!
3. CHECK INVENTORY AND PLACE AN ORDER for needed products and sales aids! I want to be READY when the snow melts!
4. GET TO KNOW MY NEIGHBOR!!! I can invite her over for coffee or hot chocolate and a Satin Hands treatment! Maybe even pamper her with a makeover while she is here!
5. MAKE A LIST OF EVERYONE I KNOW WHOSE LIFE WOULD BE ENRICHED BY A CAREER WITH MARY KAY! Don't stop with customers! Think of relatives, friends, acquaintances, etc..
On second thought, I guess there is LOTS to do on this snowy, blowy day! And oh, yes.... I just thought of one more!
I CAN THANK GOD FOR....
1. The beauty outside my window!
2. A warm home to stay in!
3. The technology to enable me to still do my business!
4. An opportunity like MK that I can use to earn money for my family!
5. Time to have FUN! To walk in the snow later today and enjoy time with my family!

Hello Friends! Linda Toupin asked Pam Tull and I to share with you retail ideas for SNOW days and I thought I'd pass them on to you!!

1) Run a Snow Lottery- Every Customer that places and order goes in to a drawing at the end of the day for.............
2) They can go in twice for scheduling an Update Facial or Makeover Appointment...
3) They can go in again for every referral they give me for an appointment! I have the customer call the contact first..... then, I follow up. It works!! They way is paved for the phone call. This way, you'll book people you don't even know.

First of all, for my consultants that CAN get out,everybody is HOME during a bad snowstorm, so it creates a GOLDEN Opportunity for you to book and sell. If you can call them and get over to their homes, they will feel so sorry for you and they will immediateley be on your side. My favorite is to say, "Linda, this is Deborah with Mary Kay! I'm so excited!! With all of the Fabulous Snow out there right now, I can offer you my famous Winter White Sale! And guess what! EVERYTHING THAT IS WHITE IS 15% off!! Can you stand it? Let me give you some hints... We can do any moisturizer, cleanser, Day Solution, eye cream, white sand eye shadow,white lace nail enamel and even Winter MUST-HAVES for dry skin... our Best hand Cream, and Satin Hands and Body Hydrating Lotion. Isn't it just beautiful?? A little treacherous getting around....but beautiful!
Many of you have not been in your MK business since we have had much snow...so wanted to clue you in that SNOW is GOOD for our business....because people stay home and you can reach them!!!
I would challenge you to do a BLIZZARD PROMOTION of some kind tonight!Call all your customers (You will reach MANY of them!!)!!! Here are several ideas:
1) Offer them gift ideas...that you'll wrap them for FREE and deliver them!! No waiting in mall lines and trudging through the cold and snow!!!
2) Have a BLIZZARD SALE! If you have already done 1 or 2 sales this year...then don't offer the sale on everything..but only a few select items you have lots of and want to move...or you want people to get started on!
3) Offer the NEW PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS with a discount... when bought as a set! Even if you don't have these items in yet...you can still offer this while you are waiting for them to arrive! (One consultant sold over $1000 of the new items before her products arrived!)
4) Do a PHONE LOTTERY! Let them know that once you have 20 orders.... one of them will get theirs at HALF PRICE!!

CABIN FEVER SALE?Years ago our Director ELOISA JOHNSON started this type of sale every time there was a major snowstorm in Vermont?she made calls to her clients offering a discount on products purchased during the sale.
HOW MUCH SNOW WILL WE GET? SALE....Weather guys are talking about record breaking amounts of snow?.when you call your clients today ask them what their prediction is and the closest to the final total will win a prize!!!!

I also love this simple idea:contact everyone and say something like this "Hi _______, this is Michelle with Mary Kay and I am having a blizzard sale! Today and tomorrow, you can take 10% off anything that you order! (or whatever discount you choose)What's better than shopping from home and at a discount. What would you like to try that is new or to stock up on?" Also, when you get them on the telephone, be sure that you have all of their correct information like birthday, address, and email so that you can update your PCP
