Footsie Facials & Pedicures

Here is a collection of ideas...

From www.marykayintouch.com LearnMK....
Pamper and Polish with Satin Hands Pedicures

Create desire for the new Private Spa Collection with playful or pampering pedicure parties. You might even try different themes, such as bouncy, beach attire and Beach Boys tunes on the jam box or soothing, exotic jazz and calming, mood-setting candles.

Items needed:

  • A medium-sized towel for each guest
  • A colorful round basin for each guest
  • 10 marbles
  • 2 golf balls for each guest
  • Plastic watering can
  • 10 cotton squares for each guest
  • Nail color remover
  • A sliced loofa sponge for each guest
  • A roll of colored plastic wrap

Steps of the class:

  • Each guest completes the first three steps of Satin Hands before sitting down in a circle. A towel and basin is at each seat.
  • Ask guests to remove any existing toe nail color.
  • Guests apply Extra Emollient Night Cream to their feet followed by Buffing Cream.
  • Have guests wrap each foot in plastic wrap.
  • While feet are wrapped in plastic wrap, pass around the new Private Spa lotions and Energizing Foot & Leg Treatment so guests can select which product they will later use on their soft and smooth feet. It's also a good time to have guests select nail colors for pretty toes.
  • After filling the watering can with warm water, direct your guest to remove the plastic wrap.
  • Guests apply Satin Hands Cleansing Gel to their feet.
  • Pour a little warm water into their basin as they remove the products with the sliced loofa sponge.
  • Pour more warm water over suspended feet for final rinse and then have guests dry their feet with their towel. Remove the basins.
  • Guests apply the lotion of their choice, being careful not to get it on their toe nails.
  • Nail color is next. Have guests put cotton squares between each toe before they apply nail color.
  • As nails dry, you may want to serve snacks. Its also a good time to romance sets, such as Satin Hands Pampering Set or any other set you have put together.
  • Once nails have dried, have the participants participate in the following foot exercises:

Golf ball: Start with a golf ball under the ball of each foot and roll it back and forth and then from heel to toe,

Marble: Put about 10 marbles on one person's towel. She has to pick each one up using the only the toes of one foot and deposit them on the towel under her other foot. She then picks them up using that foot and deposits them on her neighbor's towel. This goes on foot by foot, guest by guest, until the marbles are back where they started.

  • The final steps are to take individual orders, get bookings, and do a team-building close.
  • Be sure to wash the basins, golf balls and marbles between classes using a bleach solution to avoid spreading bacteria.

Please note: Follow the label directions on all products.

Want to feel like you're walking on sunshine? Then treat your feet to these simple pleasures that you can do at home whenever you need to put a little spring in your step.
The Perfect Pedicure
Happy Feet
Start by removing old polish. Simply soak a cotton pad with nail enamel remover, and rub enamel away. If your cuticles are dry, add a drop of olive oil to the pad before using it on your nails.
Clip your toenails straight across with clippers.
Use a nail file to smooth rough edges, including the sides.
Ceanse your feet with Satin HandsT Cleansing Gel. Rinse. Then soak your feet
in a tub of warm water and rest them on the edge of the tub.
Using a foot file, smooth your heels, the balls of your feet and the outsides of your big and little toes.
Pat feet dry with a towel. To get cuticles under control, use an orange stick to gently push and clean the area where your nail meets your skin.
Rinse, pat feet dry, and apply a generous amount of Energizing Foot & Leg
Treatment to feet and calves. Massage into your skin.
Wash the cream off your toenails with soap and water or a cotton pad with a
small amount of polish remover. Let dry.
Create a space between the toes with the toe separators.
Apply one coat of base coat, two coats of color and one coat of top coat.
Don't overload the brush. The enamel won't go on smoothly and will take
forever to dry.
For even color, apply three upward strokes on each nail, starting in the
center and then moving out to either side.
If you're in a hurry, opt for a pale color. Mistakes will be a lot less visible.
Get rid of any mistakes with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover.
1. Feet Treats
Wake up your feet with an invigorating massage every morning. Just rub
Energizing Foot & Leg Treatment into your feet, and massage from heel to
toe. What a great way to start the day!
2. Roll With It
To ease tired feet at the end of a long day, fill a bowl with marbles, remove shoes and roll the soles of your feet back and forth.
3. Chill Out
Here's another quick tip for relaxing achy feet. Fill a 16-ounce plastic soda bottle with water and put in the freezer. After it's frozen, roll your feet back and forth on the bottle until they feel better.
4. The Water's Fine
Refresh feet with this easy-to-fix recipe. Place sliced cucumbers, zesty mint leaves and flower petals into a bowl of lukewarm water. Submerse feet,
and smile.
5. Toe Tonic
Spend a lot of time standing during the day? Then take the pressure off your
feet with this soothing soak. In a saucepan, simmer 1 cup of milk, 6 sprigs
of rosemary and ? cup of mint leaves. Remove from heat, let cool, pour in 2
teaspoons of peppermint extract and soak a clean cloth in it. Wrap your feet
in the cloth, and relax.
6. Just Relax
While your pedicure is drying, take 10 minutes to lie down with your feet
above your head, either resting on a pillow or against a wall. This simple
move will help relieve tension, soothe tired veins and give you something to
do while you wait.
