        Hostesses who hold a class between October 1 and December 31 will have their names entered into a drawing during our Steppin Up Workshop & Quarterly Awards Celebration on Saturday, January 6 to win a makeover including a new hairstyle.

        Hostesses may hold more than one class to get their name entered into the drawing as many times as they would like to.

        Class must consist of the hostess plus 2 guests and have a minimum of $100 in sales.

        On the Go appointments and gift shows will count as long as they meet the requirements above.

Dear Amazing Dream Keepers,
I'm sure you are as excited about our new Holiday Line as I am.  Wow!  I love, love, love it all.
 
What an awesome opportunity we have in October to use the Company Promotion to "Host a Class, Help a Cause".  The beautiful pink wrap is one of the best hostess gifts ever.  I love fact that for every wrap you purchase and present to your hostess, a contribution will be made to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation.  What a great way to support cancer research during Oct., Breast Cancer Awareness Month.  In booking for October, I am also letting my hostesses know that I will also be contribution a portion of the proceeds from the class to our foundation.  
 
Attached is a flyer which you can use to promote your October classes.  You will notice that I have not stipulated qualifications for receiving the wrap.  The Look Book, page 32, suggests $200 in sales and 1 booking.  That is a good suggestion.  You can decide.
I personally am offering the wrap to my GOOD customers who are willing to share a class or Holiday gift show with at least 3 friends.  I am not requiring additional sales or bookings.  I feel that if I can get in front of 3 (adult, non-Mary Kay users), I can easily sell $200, and get a booking.  Never-the-less, our cost is only $10 on the wrap, so I feel ok about that.
Of course, that is entirely up to you.   The "added incentives" listed at the bottom of the flyer can be whatever you want.  For example hostess credit of 10% of total sales, plus 5% for each additional booking towards product purchases.  Or, 10% off for each person attending up to 5 (50%) for the hostess. Or, you can wrap up product you would like to move off your shelf (previous limited editions, etc.) and have her pick a mystery gift.
 
Be sure to check out the Mary Kay web site to see the beautiful pin you can earn in October by holding 20 classes.  Imagine the new customers, income,future bookings, and new team members  you could generate by meeting that challenge!  Since most of you have many other commitments (along with full-time jobs, in most cases), you'll want to "work smart".  For example...
You could host several of these classes in your home at the same time.  I'm going to do a "product preview" for my customers featuring our newest products and limited edition Holiday items.  I will "triple book".  By that I mean, I will have 3 customers booked into one slot and give them the wrap for bringing 2 - 3 friends.  That would count as 3 classes at one time.
If your weekly Success Meeting format allows you to bring guests, you can do the same thing at your meeting.  By holding double and triple events, you could accomplish the 20/20 goal.  That means you would get in front of at least 60 new people in October... can you imagine the results!
 
Following is a suggest dialogue to use in booking for October...(remember if you get 10 booked for the first 2 weeks, you can book your next ten (plus) from the first 10, by offering the wrap, promoting the "Cause", and getting guests excited about follow-up glamour looks, holiday gifts, etc., etc.
 
Use the attached flyer to e-mail, or mail to your customers.  Don't forget to offer web parties for those people who simply can't get together with you. 
 
Let's team up and support Breast Cancer Awareness Month as well as the Mary Kay Charitable Foundation and show how much we care.

20 Classes??  In a month??  I haven't done 20 classes in
My LIFETIME!!! 

Yet you may be intrigued by the idea of the CASH it will generate (let's pretend Your current Class average is low at $100.  Even at that, 20 Classes = $2000 retail = $1000 profit Less Hostess Credits (if any--you might be doing the first inviting yourself and then booking enhanced Makeovers from that)  If your Class average is more like $200 (and the more you do, the better it will become), that's $4000 retail = $2000 profit less hostess credits.  Now THAT'S sounding more and more intriguing, isn't it??  :-)

Time is limited??  OK, I understand.  I worked a full time job, too.  And often had to travel out of town with that Job Monday-Friday.  So let's look at a plan:
There are 5 Monday/Tuesdays in October  :-)      
  Monday/Tuesday Weekly Success Meeting        Confirm 2 Hostess to bring 3 confirmed friends     = 2 Classes
  Monday/Tuesday Weekly Success Meeting        Confirm 2 Hostess to bring 3 confirmed friends     = 4 Classes
  Monday/Tuesday Weekly Success Meeting        Confirm 2 Hostess to bring 3 confirmed friends     = 6 Classes
  Monday/Tuesday Weekly Success Meeting        Confirm 2 Hostess to bring 3 confirmed friends     = 8 Classes
  Monday/Tuesday Weekly Success Meeting        Confirm 2 Hostess to bring 3 confirmed friends     =10 Classes

Saturday or Sunday, a Class at 10 AM, 2 PM, 6:30 PM      (or time slots that work best for you)

"How do I Book??" you're asking?
"Hi, ______, this is (you), your Mary Kay Consultant (or if she isn't a customer yet, just say it's you).  Do you have A minute?  Great!  I have something every exciting and meaningful for women in October.  It's Breast Cancer Aware-ness time and I'm participating in Mary Kay's focus to support women by holding 20 classes to pamper my Hostesses and her friends with a free Mary Kay makeover.  We have a beautiful fringed pink wrap as our Hostess Gift and proceeds from our purchasing this wrap for our Hostesses go to the Mary Kay Ash Charitable Foundation which Donates money for research to fight cancers that affect women." 
(If you have decided that you will also contribute a Portion of your profits to the Foundation, tell her.) 

"My focus is to fill the first 2 weeks of October with at least 12 Classes and since you were at the top of my list as one of my favorite customers/people, I wanted to get the Date reserved for you and your friends to enjoy some pampering and help with this cause.  Which is better for you...bringing 3 or 4 friends to my Weekly Success Meeting for makeovers on Monday/Tuesday evening or does Saturday/Sunday work better for you?  Saturday?  Morning or afternoon?"  Set the date, time, place ..."MY house or yours--you don't have to vacuum if you come to mine!" 

Coach her on how to invite her Guests.  If she's attending your Weekly Success Meeting, give her directions.

It's IMPERATIVE that you COACH with EXCELLENCE and that you PRE-PROFILE so your have good attendance and the Guests are excited about attending and they arrive on time (tell them to come 15 minutes early for pampering for their hands--E.g.  "Please plan to come at 9:45 so we can pamper your hands first, then we'll start the Class on time At 10".

You're saying you don't KNOW enough people to book 20?  You'll be BOOKING ENHANCED MAKEOVERS FROM THE FIRST CLASSES YOU HOLD, SO THAT WILL FILL THE OTHER SLOTS IN YOUR MONTH, so book the people That you DO know now, EARLY in the month.

PS... Hope this works for you!!!  Also, if you do not live close enough to a weekly success meeting... Please use the time that you would have had for that for booking a class at your home using the same formula...  If you would prefer not to book classes on the weekend then do two nights during the week besides your weekly success meetings.  You will have worked.....a little over 10 hours a week.  This would actually give you a total of 26 classes for the month and your total would be $5200 which would be $2600 profit for the month, or $650 a week just for working 3 nights!  And if you are working full circle, this will mean that you should have at least 3 new recruits a month!
