More Recruiting Info
It has been said that closing the interview/recruit is the "Olympic Sport" in MK.

That means it is a skill that:
...is both equally challenging & rewarding
...requires lots of practice & commitment
...is best learned/polished collaborating with a coach who is a former medal-winner
(your director)
...produces medals & thus, great long-term future success!

There's a lot of sharing going on out there with little results ( too few agreements being signed) & it's because we have not gotten committed & determined to get GOOD at the Olympic-level skill of MK. Do you care enough to get prepared?
Do your homework?  Practice overcoming at least 3 objections per interview?
Yes, you CAN do this without being perceived as "pushy" but it is not going to happen by "winging it" or accepting her first objection or two.

Lesson #1: Good Interview Closing questions to memorize & ask with confidence.
Save, print, memorize ( yes, memorize) this file, & use it this week!
It's your time for results, don't you agree?

A great script for scheduling practice interviews!  Fill your datebook!

Who is a Quality Prospect?  Read this and find out!

Recruiting is a LAYERING PROCESS!  Get them on the product, bring them to an event...the more they see, the more they will love this opportunity.  Use this Layering Tracking Sheet to know what you have shared already and what you should do next.

Linda Toupin's One-Page Interview Format

Share the Starter Kit Contents with your prospects/new recruits.  Wow!

Use this great brochure to explain the Avenues of Income to your prospects!  It two pages, so either print or copy them back-to-back to make the brochure.  One of the great ways to use this is to put it in all your hostess packets, use it as a quick interview, at classes, etc. and of course, always keep some in your car or your "Brain Book".  You never know when you will need one!  You never know when you will meet women looking for jobs!  Print it out in color and paste your .business card on the front.

Robin Rowland says that a lot of people know how to do an Interview, but it is important to know how to do an
INNERview

A straight-forward approach to interviewing!  Use this format from Kimberly Walker Roop, with additional questions from our own Dir. LeAnne Brown.

Dynamic Women questionnaire.   From NSD Pam Shaw.  This format has both the questions you would use to interview a prospect, plus a checklist at the end that tells you what steps to follow after your recruit has signed her agreement.

A one-page sheet of quick questions and facts (great to use at a Success Meeting or Special Guest Event) is the "Did You Know..." sheet.

Letting too much time pass between the interview and the follow-up and decision almost guarantees a "No".  Use this wonderful script to set up the time to follow-up quickly (within 24 hours) to help prospects make a "heart", not a "head" decision.  24-hour Follow-up Script

Here is another great way to follow-up.  Script, plus an offer of a free gift if the decision is within 24 hours!

Consultants and Directors..After giving a prospect recruiting information either at a class or an event...
follow up THE NEXT DAY, answer her questions, and then close with the script below.
Also, use the closing questions below to wrap up a regular interview.

The fun part:  offering her a gift for making her decision in 24 hours!!  Open the attached idea, but re-type it, and offer her a MK product item instead of the earrings ...... a product not in her kit that might help with her business ....... maybe Velocity Cleanser & Moisturizer,  or maybe the Eye Cream,  or maybe the OF Hydrating Gel ...... something she saw you demonstrate at her party, but doesn't come in her kit!

Do you love this idea?  And the questions? Powerful!

by Debra Bishop:

Are your interview closing skills lacking?  You'll love the simplicity of this!!

FROM OUR CONFERENCE CALL WITH OUR NSD THIS MORNING:  CHERYL WARFIELD'S CLOSING QUESTIONS FOR AN INTERVIEW!!
Write these on an index card and USE them when you do an interview!!!!  You'll always know what to say!

1)  If, in your wildest dreams you ever did this, what would you enjoy the most?

2)  What qualities do you have that would make you an asset to Mary Kay Cosmetics?

3)  If it takes 2 hours to hold a Skin Care Class, how many would you hold in a week?  This is not to establish a quota but to show you how much money you can make.
Then take the number of classes she tells you and show her the money.  Example:
3 classes a week X $300 = $900 at 50% profit = $450 for about 6 hours of work
$450 X 50 weeks in a year = $22,500 profit for 3 classes a week.
WRITE THIS DOWN for her or let her write it down because when she gets home, the first thing hubby will ask is, "How much money can you make?"

4)  If I could show you how to do this, could you learn?

5)  If I could show you how to take $100 and turn it into $1000 in 30 days, could you find the $100?
(pause for her answer)  This shows you that she could find the money.  How would you like to handle it...cash, check, MC, Visa, Discover?

Is there any reason why we couldn't go ahead and get you started today?

If she says she needs to think about it or ask hubby, then say to her...
I want you to think about 2 things:
What is the worst thing that could happen if I joined MK today?
What is the best thing?
Think about it tonight and I'll call you in the morning to get your decision.  Then set the time to call her.

From Debra - I will also offer her the the 24 Hour Decision Challenge.  She has 24 hours to make a decision and she will get __________________.  I say something like this:
Amy, I offer women I talk to a 24 Hour Decision opportunity.  If you make a decision within 24 hours and purchase your Starter Kit, then my first gift to you is this ________________.  Now, Amy, you can start your MK business anytime you want and whether you start tonight, tomorrow, next week or next year, I'll train you the same, but you won't get the ___________.  (BIG SMILE).  Then write down the exact time on the attached handout and tell her you'll call her then or she can call you if she prefers.

File for 24 Hour Decision Gift   (but see note at the beginning of this info for offering MK products vs. the earrings listed here.)
