Classes with Mineral Powder.. Darlene Rutledge
Dear Mighty Morrissettes.. I am doing some checking right now.  How do you feel about demoing with a
puffy round cotton ball?  I am just not feeling good about using the brushes.
Love, Marsha

I just finished my third class in the last week with the Mineral Powders. They are a total hit!!

Heres what Ive learned:

  • Use it yourself first!!! And follow the directions included. See your Applause too.
  • A little goes a VERY long way!!!! Youll experience the client that doesnt know what a little is and shell look like she put her face in the flour canister JWe all got a great laugh!!
  • The brush is a must for demoing! I just purchased 5-8 extras to use as demos. Wash them in between of course with some mild shampoo/cleanser.
  • Sprinkle the powder on their tray for dipping their brush. The challenge is finding a place for them to swirl the brush to evenly distribute the powder for application. They would normally use the lid to the container. Any ideas?
  • I havent read about using them this way but it worked great at my classes- For those that need just a touch more coverage, use a small amount of foundation on discolored areas (ie cheeks, nose, chin) then apply Mineral Powder over top.
  • Mineral powder over Tinted moisturizer was great!!! 3 of my clients tried that tonight. It gave them a very nice dewy and luminescent appearance.
  • Personally, I use my medium coverage first then use a super small amount of Mineral Powder over top. The coverage is light and silky but VERY long lasting.
  • They work for all ages however be on the lookout for an overly matte look if someone is of a more interesting age Jthey may be using too much also.
  • The feature of being a buildable product is wonderful. Again, the key is very light layers!!!
  • Bronze skin clients will totally love them! I have a 808 client that is wearing the Bronze 2 and she looks fabulous!
  • Order one of each to demo along with the extra brushes to demo.
  • I didnt order enough of them JIm already out!

Enjoy getting your hands on them!!! Ask everyone around you to be your guinea pig and get a facial and makeover with the new Mineral Powders!

The attached Conversion Chart is wonderful. Print it and slip it in your skin care class literature folder.

Mineral Powder Foundation  must be demoed with the special brush.  Ive opened a brush for every color and labeled the brushes, Ivory 1, 2, Beige 1, 2, etc. so they are always used for the same color.  The powder gets up deep into the brush, so this way there is no color mixing.  Then I have opened 4 extra brushes so that I have a total of 8.  (brushes are tax deductible  as Supplies) These will not be labeled because I might have 4 Ivory 1 people, and they all need their own brush.  You can shake the powder into their Styrofoam trays.  Once they get it into their brush, they turn it upside down and tap the handle on the table so the powder goes down inside the bristles.  This way they are not redipping into the cap or the sifter which could be unsanitary.  They can redip into their Styrofoam tray.  You may even have to provide an extra tray.

Then I use the Brush off www.brushoff.com
to clean them, and the tips of the bristles get very clean.  Its inside where some powder remains, where their skin does not touch it.  The brushes will be washed with 2 in 1 Wash and Shave once a week, which is the product the company recommends we use with our glamour brushes.

Truly, these need little demonstration since this is the latest trend in foundation and its all over the media.  Even though the colors may seem a little darker when applied, for me they have matched exactly according to what the company states.  I am 204, Im using Ivory 2, and even though its more color, its very brown color so I simply look healthier.  There is not a line difference between my jawline and my neck, so I am staying in Ivory 2.  When comparing our minerals to others, ours is very brown compared to others that have much pink or orange in them.
