 Subject: How to Sell Mineral Powder Products
 
Great info on how to sell the new Mineral Powder Products from Dir. Denise Kucharski:.

"Of my $1200 in sales last week, about half were new compacts!"
 
Here are her insights so you will know how to figure your order:

Some bought 3 compacts, some 2 and some 1. I am figuring an average of 1-1/2 compacts per customer. How many customers will you see in the next 4 weeks?
Multiply by the no. of compacts you might want to order.

Eye shadows, in order of popularity with customers -- Granite (almost everyone bought this), Sweet Cream, Sienna, Honey Spice, Chocolate Kiss, Navy Blue.

Blush & Bronzer: Almost everyone has purchased Shy Blush . More than half of those bought Sandstone Bronzer to use as a blush with it. Shy Blush Cheek and Sandstone Bronzers together in a compact are great for cheeks.

She shows reorder customers on her face: dark side of bronzer along bottom edge of cheek bone, Shy Blush over apply of cheek bone, light side of bronzer on jaw line where you may want to look slimmer.

Customers love the bonus that the bronzer can also be eye shadow

Facial Highlighting Powder
: Almost everyone bought (Matte) Pink Porcelain. If you have a younger client base, you will probably sell a lot of (Shimmer) Pink Stardust as well. Bonus: All highlighters can also be eye shadows.

Many customers put 3 eye colors and Pink Porcelain together in the compact. Hand them a mirror, use a cotton ball and sweep some Pink Porcelain (2 colors mixed) in a "C" shape along top of cheekbone mid-eye, and curving around eye toward temple (same as we've been using the Facial Highlighting Pen).

Once they see the difference in the mirror, they will want it! When you put 3 colors in a compact, they really have 5 eye colors, since highlighters do double duty.

Another tip: Show customers how to hold the compact by its sides (versus prying it open from the front) and lift the lid. Feels elegant! Then hand it to her and let her open it. Show her how to press the little button that lifts the refills out. Holding it in her hand and experiencing how it works is part of the buying process. She can't leave it with you after she's held it!

Sample of quantities for ordering, based on seeing 20 customer sin the next 4 weeks:
1-1/2 compacts per person = 30 compacts.

Eye colors: 15 Granite, 12 Sweet Cream, 10 Sienna, 8 Honey Spice, 6 Chocolate Kiss, 4 Navy.

Cheek colors: 12 Shy Blush, (2 Golden Copper is you have clients with darker complexion.)

Bronzers: 8 Sandstone, 1-2 of each of the others (remember this can also be used as eye shadows).

Highlighters: 8 Pink Porcelain, 3 Pink Stardust (remember these can also be used as eye shadows).

Pressed Powders: Gauge this by the shades of Mineral Powder Foundations you have sold. Since the Mineral Foundations stay looking good all day long, you may only need a few of the pressed.

Tips on scheduling to see customers: Call those who already purchased mineral powder foundation (say the word MIN-ER-AL with great drama)" "Tell me how you're loving your Min-er-al Powder Foundation? What do you love most about it? Since it's looking so smooth, how would you feel about MIN-ER-AL powder cheek color to put with it?"

Clients will get excited about it its easy then to mention the smooth look of new min-er-al eye shades and set a time to show her all the new things!

To sell Subtle Tanning Lotion, apply it to one hand just a couple of times and show them what it does. You will be impressed and so will they!

These tips are based on Denise Kucharski's experiences with her clients. Your results may be different depending on your client base. One thing for sure: These new products look good and feel good and customers are wowed by them!
