Generating Leads.. Roses to Professionals NEW . Julie Danskin's tips
 

 

Tips by Julie Danskin!!
Select a partner. Purchase 4 doz roses at Sam's club and put a bunch in a
vase and the rest in a bucket in your car. 
 Take along a bag with 40 sign up
sheets including Name address day phone cell phone and email.  I go into
prof. buildings and office buildings in the afternoon.  
Dress very sharp
with no pins or lots of jewelry.  
Go in with a smile and the vase of roses
in front of you. {like Santa Claus!}
Your partner should carry the sign up
sheets. 
 I say " hello...we are with Mary Kay and we are honoring
Professional women by giving you a rose today...which one would you like?"
Once they have warmed up and are selecting their rose we pull out the sign
up sheets saying, "  We are also doing a drawing for free products and you
can sign up if you don't have a Mary Kay consultant" 
 Do not chit chat
....get in and out fast so you don't take their work time.  I usually will
get 30 leads and a couple of hours which I split with my partner.  Mark on
the back where the lead come from so you have only one grand prize winner
per office.  
Call in the next few days saying," This is Monica with MK.  Do
you remember me?   Yes I'm the one who gave you the rose.  Did your rose
make it home or did you keep it at work? Well guess what!  I did my drawing
and you were one of the winners....Do you want to know what you won?  You
won $X  in free product and a free pampering package for you and 1 or 2 of
your girlfriends.  This includes a facial, MCD hand treatment and lip
treatment and quick color look for you.  I'm calling to set up your time to
pick out your free goodies and be pampered.  What works best for you, the
beginning of the week or the end of the week?" Then give 2 choices you have
open in your calendar. 
( I offer any where from $15 -25 in free products to
these women and find you can book them for success meeting, events or in
your home.)
******.  You will meet target market women that you can get a hold of in the

Had to share... I have 25 appointments on my datebook for the first two weeks of September!  How did I do it?  For one thing, I got a total of 116 new names by handing out roses between August 16th and August 30th.  On five separate occasions, I took a Consultant with me, and handed out roses to professional women.  We split all the names we got, and of my 116 names, I booked 42 appointments.  10 have held so far, 7 either were no-shows or I have yet to reschedule, and 25 are on my datebook for September 1st through 17th.  Of those 25, 10 are this weekend... 9 on Saturday, 1 on Sunday.  How much time did it take?  Between one and two hours on each of the days I handed out roses... so between 5 and 10 hours TOTAL.

What I say when I go in an office to hand out roses:

"Hi, we're with Mary Kay and we're honoring professional women in Virginia Beach today by handing out roses... so we'd love to honor you... I hope this brightens your day!  (Hand them a rose, wait for response.)  And it gets better... we're also giving away a $50 spa package at 6:00 tonight.  Just jot down your name and number (hand them the slip as you say this) and we'll enter you to win.  All it takes is a name and phone number... you don't have to fill out the whole thing.  We'll call the winners between 6 and 9 tonight, so if you put down an evening number, we won't disturb you at the office.  (When they hand it back, say "and you are... Suzie Smith?  Suzie, nice to meet you.  I'm Brittany and this is Lisa.  One of us will call you between 6 and 9 tonight!  Have a great day, and enjoy your rose!") 
P.S. You won't BELIEVE how many more people you'll remember when you read the name, say it to them, and then I ask something like "how do you pronounce your last name?"  Or "Oh, I have a friend whose last name is ____"  Something to help you remember them.

 

 

BOOKING SCRIPT

"Hi, this is Brittany Mitchell with Mary Kay... we met earlier today when I handed out roses at your office.  As promised, I'm calling with the results of the drawing we held, and I have good news for you!  You were one of our winners!  Unfortunately, you didn't win the GRAND prize... but you DID qualify for a complimentary facial, color makeover and $25 in FREE product of your choice!  So I was calling to let you know you won, and also to schedule a time in the next week or so that we can get together for about an hour so you can enjoy your free facial and makeover, and most importantly, pick out your free product!  What's better for you... weekend day or weekend?  (Wait for answer...) Day or evening?  (Wait for answer...) Great!  I have (choice #1) or (choice #2)... which is better for you?  (Wait for answer...) Great!  So that's (repeat their choice of day and time back to them).  I'm going to send you a confirmation e-mail with driving directions to my studio, which is just a mile from your office.  If you would, just reply back to me... so I know you received it... and I will look forward to seeing you (repeat their choice of day and time here).  ***  By the way, if you want to invite some friends to join you, feel free.  When you have five friends join you, you'll get $50 in free product of your choice instead of just $25.  Thanks so much, and I'll see you soon!"

 

If the appointment is scheduled for more than 48 hours from now, also say "I'll also pop a confirmation card in the mail to you... what's your mailing address?"  This line would go where the *** is in the script above.

 


Confirmation e-mail text:

Dear Megan,

It was my pleasure to meet you today when I handed out roses in your office, and to speak with you tonight about the prize package you won as a result of our drawing.  As we discussed on the phone, your prize package includes a complimentary facial, color makeover, and gift certificate for $25 in product of your choice!  Your appointment is scheduled for (date/time here) at my studio at __________.  For precise driving directions, click this link: www.mapquest.com

Please reply to this e-mail so I'm sure you received it... I look forward to seeing you (day/time here)!
