On the spot warm chatter:
Hi, I'm ______________, Independent Beauty Consultant with Mary Kay. I never miss a chance to hand out a compliment & I noticed how ___________(nice you look today, great your hair cut is, you hold yourself, fantastic your smile is, hip your shoes are, etc.) You know, Mary Kay is celebrating her 40th anniversary & in her honor I have been challenged to facial 40 women by my Sales Director, . I have two more faces to go & would love to pamper you & get your opinion of our products. (Pull out your planner, open it) What is best for you, weekdays or weekends, mornings or evenings? (Be sure to leave her with a Look Book & your Business Card with the date & time of her facial on the back & point it out to her & get her info)

I only need two more faces & meeting you was perfect timing. This will be a great way to get to know each other & get your opinion of the products. 2. Have your calendar with you at all times. Highlight the times you have available in green so you know what to work around.

3. If by chance someone cannot make a commitment to either space, be creative, look at any other openings you have & sweetly say: "Well, Susie Q, I'll tell you what; I am looking over my calendar & I might be able to squeeze you in before one of my other appointments. Which is best for you weekdays or weekend, mornings, afternoons or evenings? Great, let's see; I have two back-to-back facials on ________ at __:___am/pm, why don't we go ahead & squeeze you in before theirs. How about ___:____am/pm on _________.
Before you know it, your time slots will be filled and you will be doing a lot of squeezing.

4. After you have set up the facial, and only after, feel free to ask them if they would like to share their facial with a couple of friends. You would love to go over your 40 faces challenge & let her know you will have a special gift for her.

5. Let her know you will call her tonight/tomorrow to get or give directions to the facial.

6. It might be wise to invite them to your house for the facial; being that you will doing facials back-to-back. However, someone new might feel better if you come to them. If you want the majority of the facials to take place at your home, you might say: "Susie Q, I bet you would like to get out of the house and have some personal time to be pampered. Why don't you come over and I'll take care of everything."

7. Most important, follow-up & follow through. Send your customer a thank-you in advance, for taking time out of her busy schedule to help you complete your 40 faces challenge. Let her know your looking forward to pampering her. Be sure to put the appointment date & time on the card. Call to confirm two days prior & to pre-profile your customer, this will help to set in stone your appointment.
