The slate is wiped clean again! Make the time this morning to pray on your goals for this month----delay is NOT denial!!  Don't change the goal just change the activity to get there and make a new deadline.  Believe in your "self fix your eyes on ALL that you can BE, and ALL that you already ARE!!!

Mary Kay - what a life....
We work in a business that is very simple.  There are no secrets...no magic strategies...no lofty, brainiac-only realms...
Truly there are simply four actions that we take consistently to get us to the top...and I bet that you already know what they are.....all together now.....[I can hear you chanting]:)

COACH

SELL
RECRUIT
With all of the ideas we receive on email, voice-com, and through newsletters and SUCCESS meetings, you might think that this is the most complex business in the world.....
Do I warm chatter with cotton ball sachets?  Lip samples? Cards and books? Flowers?
Do I use the Complete collection to close every class or just the classes where I think that people can afford it? And those classes...what am I supposed to say?  Do I follow what the people at the class want and do full color even though I know it won't be as successful?  How am I supposed to ask people to book when I have succumbed and done full color?  Have I blown it?
When I book...what words should I say?  The ones that Mary Kay herself designed, and that millionaires before us have used?  Or shall I make up my own that feel more "comfortable?" or shall I use the ones that I saw on the email that Barb sent the other day?
Who should I talk to about recruiting?  How am I going to do it....the way SOMETHING MORE says...or the way Barb teaches in conference calls...or shall I just throw something out and hope that she grabs at the bait?  And how come nobody just jumps in my lap the way they do for that gal in the email who became a director in 5 minutes?  How come I am not meeting those women?  And what would I say to her if I did meet her???  Would I know it?

THE SPEED OF INFORMATION MAKES OUR HEADS SPIN......
             THE AMOUNT OF INFORMATION FILLS EMAIL FOLDERS AND BINDERS GALORE.....
                               THE DIVERSITY OF THE INFORMATION MAKES US WONDER WHAT'S THE BEST         
                                   AND MOST EFFECTIVE THING TO DO................

Information provides us with ideas and options...
Information gives us alternatives...
We must take extra care, however, to be certain that information does not confuse us into inertia...standing still waiting for the next idea to see how it "fits."

This morning, I have two acronyms for you:

K.I.S.S. - keep it simple, sweetie!
F.O.C.U.S. - follow one course until successful

1. Stay with an idea until it's run its course...getting one or two "no's" does not mean it's not working for you
2. Review the tried and true - Mary Kay taught us the simple, easy, no-fail way - all we have to do is do it.
3. Make it comfortable...if the words do not seem comfortable to you at first, practice them again and again.  The words work - all you have to do is say them
4. Measure before trying on - spend a minute or two measuring an idea before you try it and buy it...does this make sense for me?  does it work with my lifestyle? am I prepared to spend the time preparing before executing...or is there an easier way to accomplish the same end result? to have the same success?

Many times, we feel as if we are working our Mary Kay businesses 24 and 7 - and that is simply because we are flitting from idea to idea...hoping that one will give us the results we seek...and because we are thinking about our businesses instead of acting in our businesses. Today...and each day for the rest of May (and beyond of course), make firm decisions about which idea/ideas will serve you best.  Discard the rest for another day. And enjoy the success that naturally will come when your ideas are in order...and your attitude, right on!!!!!
