COACHING/ CONFIRMING APPOINTMENTS

Coaching is the activity of confirming an appointment, same as every business does regularly. Ex: Hospitals, Dentist, Hair, etc...

Listen to the audio under VOICE CAST and take notes, then call your director with any questions and/or to tell her how it went after you made your first coaching call after listening to the recording and reading the script below.

COACHING

When you coach an appointment you are really building the first part of your relationship with your client. Coaching is so important because it will help you get a quick understanding of who your client is, give you the opportunity to quickly explain to your client what she can expect at her appointment and give you the chance to ask her what she expects, as well as get her skin type, skin tone, and what issues are going on with her skin that she may want to change, maintain, or correct about her skin.

When you consistently coach your appointments, your # of appointments that will hold will increase tremendously.

It's usually the lack of coaching that causes most appointment to cancel.

The average number of bookings to hold is half if you make sure to coach the appointment.

So if you book 10, 5 will hold. (Again, only if you make sure to coach)

If you book 10 and choose to not coach them, probable only 2 or 3 will hold, if youre lucky.

Coaching is a business technique and skill you will want to develop so your income, clientele, and customer service will increase.

So lets role play a little:

Let's say you just booked an appointment with Suzy for Friday and today is Monday.

You will want to coach every appointment 2- 3 days before so you can remind her of the appointment and also so if you two keep playing phone tag you still have a day or two to get ahold of each other.

Remember that life happens, so If you can't get ahold of her on your first try, simply leave a voicemail or text her, or both so that she can get back to you.

Now there is a way to prevent that, and that is by booking your coaching call during the same time that you book the appointment.

For example, when you called Suzy on Monday and booked her for Friday, you also asked Suzy if it is okay with her for you to call her two- three days before her appointment so you can ask her a couple of quick questions about her skin and get her guest list if she has one. Once Suzy agrees, you will ask her whats a good time to call her on Wednesday for that call?

(I chose Wednesday because it is two days before her appointment on Friday right?)

Right!

Suzy will tell you the best time. For example if she works a 9- 5pm she might say 6pm. Then you can put it in your datebook or weekly plan sheet to coach Suzy at 6pm on Wednesday.
