(thanks to Amanda Conceicao who shared it).
March is all about the luck of the Irish and this month we will be celebrating St. Patty's day by collecting Lucky Charms! Now, just like the cereal there is a heart, a diamond, a clover, and a spade. Collect them all by the end of March and you win the prize! It's not exactly the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but its a wonderful prize none the less. Here are the details:
Heart = 1 lipstick or lip gloss
Diamonds = 2 eyeshadows
Clover = 1 blush
Spade = 1 bottle of nail polish
The prize is your choice of one of the following:
1 bottle of Sun Essentials Sunblock (in SPF 15 or 30) OR
1 bottle of Terme d'Isola Moisturizing Body Wash OR
1 bottle of Sea Level Cleanse and Condition Shampoo OR
1 Retractable Powder Brush in Silver
You have a whole month to collect the charms -- why not start today? As always, if you'd like to see samples or you need a beauty book, please let me know.
I have an email group of MK customers who get deals each month, so this is March's. The prize can be anything you choose. These were just items I wanted to move and/or introduce to customers.

Spring Open Houses
I am having my second one the last week in March. I am promoting Easter baskets. Plus mother's day baskets and the men's fragrance for father's day. I set up my display in the dining room on the table and in the china hutch. In the hutch goes all of the regular line products (one shelf for skin care, one shelf for color and the top shelf with just flowers and signs and stuff in it). On the table I arrange all of the baskets and limited ed. items. Mostly fragrance and body care items. For spring I include a nice Sun Essentials display with a beach towel draped over the end of the table and a bucket of sand with a kids shovel and VERY large (gimmicky) sun glasses and the sunscreen sticking out of the sand. This year I am going to organize things by the upcoming gift giving holidays. Easter, mothers day, graduation, fathers day and then a wedding section. I use different sized boxes to create height and interest on the table. Each box is covered in a different pastel colored sheet or cloth and then the whole table is covered with a white lace table cloth to tie it together but the pastels show through. Don't forget to get their wish lists for mother's day, anniversary, birthdays. I give a 15% discount off everything and of course promote things I really want to move more. I give some sort of small gift for any purchase (maybe a mini fragrance or hand cream) and a gift with every $30 purchase. (1 at $30, 2 at $60, 3 at $90 etc). I set up my kitchen to do satin hands and satin lips at the sink, and have a couple of facial trays set up at the kitchen table for sampling and of course my selling station set up there as well. Good luck. My Christmas open houses usually are around $1200 and my Spring are around $800. Debbie Milewski
I had a spring open house two weeks ago. I had a few gift ideas up for Mother's Day, birthdays, etc. I displayed the spring line and had testers out for Belara, Elige and journey. I also had the Terme body care, displayed the AM/PM and a few other supplements. I had 8 customers come and over $600 in sales. You do not have to be elaborate in
your set-up. My gifts were purchase were the PCP if they had $30 or more (which all but one did) and I also had my half-price basket out of discontinued and limited edition products. Good luck with your open house! Kathy
limousine service
I live in a high rise apartment with a doorman. One of them saw me going out with my baskets several times. The other day he told me that he is leaving to open his own limousine service. He asked me to make him two courtesy
baskets to put in the limos for passenger use. He selected two perfumes and two men's colognes for each and a hand cream. I suggested wrapped chocolates and little cocktail napkins. The limos have a stocked frig so there was no
need to suggest beverages. This will come to about $270 and he will need to refill the baskets from time to time! :-) Just thought some of you could use this idea! Proms will be starting soon and of course, weddings! Jacki in NJ

A Mega-Sale
Merril Lane
My director suggested a Going for the Green sale for St. Patty's Day, where your customers can Buy 2 and get the 3rd one free on basic skin care items. You can extend it to the rest of your inventory if you feel like it. I am doing just that. It's been great!
