THE EYES HAVE IT  (party without the ice cream)

This party also focuses on the eyes – pampering eye treatments & secrets to bold, beautiful eyes!!  This is using the mineral powder eye colors.  Everyone comes with their foundation, lip & cheek colors on.  It’s a layering process.

 

LASH BASH

Everyone comes with foundation, cheek & lip colors on.  Preferably all attending are skin care customers.  Emphasis is on eye & lash care plus trying a variety of specialized eye products.  Includes 3 eye looks: dash-out-the-door, office/professional look & smoky eye look.  Each guest can do all three if they choose – it’s a layering process, not taking off & reapplying.

 

BUILD-A-BABE WORKSHOP OR HOT MAMAS

Unleash your inner BABE or HOT MAMA!!!!  In-depth makeover tips based on eye & hair color, face & eye shape & spacing.  Everyone receives an individual customized color consultation including matching of foundation formula & shade, eye colors, eye liner, cheek & lip shades.  We start with a dash-out-the-door look, build to a daytime office look & then to a more dramatic evening look without taking anything off.  Experience using our Professional Brush Set.

 

DENIM & DIVAS

Dig out your fanciest jeans & glitziest jewelry!!!  There’s a prize for the best dressed & glitziest jewelry.  Each guest received a customized glamour look & instruction on how to do a flattering smoky eye based on their eye color, shape & spacing.  Everyone comes with foundation on.  Experience using our Professional Brush Set.

 

HOLLYWOOD HIGHLIGHTING

Be RED-CARPET READY!!!!  Treat yourself to a makeover fit for the Stars.  Work with cream & vibrant mineral eye colors to enhance your features and learn tips for highlighting & contouring your face.  Choices are Angela Bassett, Penelope Cruz, Angelina Jolie, Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez/J-Lo Glow (bronzed & sun-kissed look) or Kate Winslet.

 

MOTHER/DAUGHTER PARTY

The young gals are introduced to the Velocity Skin Care Program plus Dos & Don’ts for safe & healthy skin & their moms experience the customized TimeWise Miracle Skin Care program.  The gals choose a dash-out-the-door glamour look for their moms.  The daughters experiment with lip gloss, an eye cream & if appropriate mascara.

 

GUYS & GALS

Share your facial with your favorite guy.  You can do both at the same time or the guys can go first then they can watch the children while the gals have their facials.  The gals experience the Miracle Set with a dash-out-the-door look & the guys enjoy their facial by using the Men’s Skin Care products plus the shaving cream (I supply a basic disposable razor) with a touch of one of the men’s fragrances (if he so chooses).  The guys also select a fragrance sample for their gals to try.  This party is fun shared with another couple or two.

It’s a coming out party for your feet….Feet fit for sandals.  Bring the pampering of a luxurious foot spa experience to the comfort of your own home.  Keeping your feet in viewing shape is not just a summer thing anymore.  I provide the individual tubs, towel, & supplies for a do-it-yourself pedicure party.  Samples of a variety of scrubs, lotions, hand/feet treatments & fragrances are available.  The hostess is pampered with a warming neck wrap.  A massage therapist can be brought in for an additional charge to the hostess & guests.

 

KNOCK-OUT NAILS

Pamper your hands & nails!  Bring nail polish remover so they can begin fresh.  Begin with Satin Hands & then a base coat followed by 2 coats of your favorite color & adding a protective top coat for fabulous nails.  While nails are drying share fashion updates, glamour tips, new product preview, etc. – whatever you & your hostess would like to highlight.  You could also show a video of Mary Kay or any of our company videos….followed with question & answer time about the career.

Usually set up in consultant’s home where all of our products are showcased, especially geared to gift buying ideas for Holiday sales (Christmas, Hanukkah, and Mother’s Day, graduations, birthdays, bridal showers or wedding gifts).  Offer gift wrapping, have examples of gift sets: Satin Hands Sets or Satin Hands hand cream with gas or garden gloves, Limited Edition sets, glamour set ideas, or other products combined & beautifully displayed.  Offer a wide selection of price points for stocking stuffers for teens, teachers, hostesses, or great gift for an unexpected situation, co-workers, daughters, moms, grandmothers &/or other friends & family members.  Encourage customers to bring a new guest with them – have special gifts for each person or give an added discount to the customer & their guest.

 

Provide punch, mulled cider plus bite-size treats.  Have the room you are set up in decorated for the Holidays or whatever season you are focusing on.  If it’s for brides or graduates, etc. decorate accordingly.

 

OPEN HOUSE FOR MEN – BE HER HERO!!

Have a separate time for Men’s Night or Afternoon.  Highlight that you gift wrap.  Showcase the “12 Days of Christmas” or a “Pillow Gifts” for the Holidays, birthdays, anniversaries, Mother’s Day, etc.  Having your customers fill out their own personal wish list prior to this event helps you give spouses or significant others just the right gifts or offer gift certificates along with a FREE makeover in the gift package.

NEW YEAR—NEW YOU!!! (January event)

Great way to begin the New Year – a catching way to offer our services.  It’s also a great way to pamper your customers after the hectic Holiday season. 

 

SENSATIONAL SUPER BOWL SALE or PARTY

Great for call-ins or an Open House.  Everyone ordering between 8:00 -9:00 receive a 30% discount, 9:00 – 10:00 a 25% discount, 10:00 – 11:00 a 20% discount & 11:00 – noon a 15% discount.    Use whatever time frames work best for you & whatever discounts you want to offer.  You may want to start it later in the morning & run it until game time or even through half-time.

 

DIVAS & CHOCOLATES (late January to February 14th)

Highlight Valentines Day with a new luscious looks, examples from the Look Book.  Have the hostess provide chocolates or chocolate items – bite size treats!  This theme is great for anytime of the year as gals love their chocolates.

 

CABIN FEVER FRENZY!! (March)

Getting a little stir crazy…the snow & ice getting you down.  A great reason to get out with friends & family & play with make-up & be pampered.

For those days or evenings when everyone is snowed in -- run a special sale.  Send out emails & follow-up with a phone call.

Everyone wears as much pink as possible (clothing, hair clips, shoes, jewelry, sunglasses, nails or toenails, etc.  Give prizes for the most pink (thank you gift w/ purchase or other product samples).  Give the hostess pink lemonade to serve her guests. 

 

PINK FRIDAY SALE

Instead of having a Black Friday sale or event (Friday after Thanksgiving) have a Pink Friday Sale.  Great for call-ins or an Open House.  Everyone ordering between 8:00 -9:00 receive a 30% discount, 9:00 – 10:00 a 25% discount, 10:00 – 11:00 a 20% discount & 11:00 – noon a 15% discount or offer anything you like.

Great anytime of the year!  Make it a fun event taking ideas from some of the other party ideas.

Go OVER-THE-TOP making your hostess feel like royalty!!  Bring a tiara & a pink boa that she can wear, have a special pillow she can sit on.  

 

MUFFINS & MAKEOVERS

Great early or mid-morning Saturday event to provide healthy snack option plus start their day out looking their best.  Provide muffins & coffee &/or tea at your home.

 

PARTY WITH A PURPOSE

Incorporate any of the above mentioned parties, but a portion of the sales you donate to a special charity, school, Mary Kay Foundation, etc.  It’s a fun fund raiser for whatever special organization or cause you’d like to support.

 

AUTHENTIC BEAUTY PRESENTATION

(Monadnock Bible Conference/teens)

THANK YOU NOTES TO CUSTOMERS

 Send thank you notes or postcards to your customers to tell them you appreciate their business.  Just a quick short note saying something like: “Thank you so much for your business – you wear your Mary Kay so well or thank you for your loyaity – wish I could clone you or thank you so much for the referral – your confidence means the world to me or thank you for letting me serve you – you are a treat to care for”, etc.

 

REORDERS

When you put together a reorder, wrap it in colorful tissue paper with a fun seal (both can be purchased at the Dollar Store), include an edible treat: a chocolate or a twizzler or a snack box of raisins, along with a sample or two, etc.  Tie bag with tulle & if someone really needs a lift, include a balloon (from the Dollar Store) when you deliver to her place of business.

 

BIRTHDAYS

Send birthday cards with a discount of 10% or 20% for any purchases during their birthday month or offer a Mary Kay fragrance of her choice or a foot spa set at half price.  Call & sing her Happy Birthday – if she doesn’t answer the phone I will leave the song on her answering machine.

 

ENCOURAGE CUSTOMERS TO BROADEN THEIR PRODUCT SELECTION

For customers who consistently purchase the same products time after time.  Offer a one-time 40% discount when they purchase a “New product to them”.  I will recommend certain products that I feel they would benefit from & of course, I encourage them to go for a high priced item. 

 

NEW CUSTOMERS

A few days to a week after meeting a new customer I send them “my services” sheet.  Thanking them for their business & telling them I look forward to providing them with a lifetime of Mary Kay Golden Rule Customer Service.
