This applies to all appointments, parties and makeovers for several reasons, including that many states have cosmetology laws which require licenses for individuals who physically apply cosmetics or cosmetic treatments to others with the hand or mechanical devices. Even though you may have state licenses to apply makeup, the Company still strongly recommends following the no touching policy, because its so important that your customers feel confident about applying their Mary Kayproducts on their own. It also maintains consistent standards and expectations for all Independent Beauty Consultants and their customers.

And, of course, the more confident your customers are, the more eager they may be to try more new Mary Kayproducts.
