NEIGHBORHOOD LIPSTICK SURVEY





Hi, my name is ________ , I'm a beauty consultant with Mary Kay cosmetics
out of Dallas Texas. My company has asked me to help out with a lipstick
survey, and its not to buy, just to sample, and then in a couple of days I
will call to ask you just a few questions. Would you be willing to help us
out with that?


Make sure you say it all in one breath, at least though the " not to buy,
just to sample part."I also like to let them know I live in their area. I might say something
like, "I live right up the road from you, as a matter of fact I bring my daughter trick or treating in your neighborhood every year. I just love youreighborhood!


I try somehow to relate to them, compliment them and make them feel that I
am not a stranger. You get such a better response doing it this way. I've
experimented with both, and this definitely is the way to go. You will
immediately see them relax and warm up to you.


Warm up ideas:
children, school district, knowing someone in their
neighborhood, visiting a park near their neighborhood with your dog if you
do not have children, church near them, or just, I drive buy your
neighborhood everyday and I just love it, it looks so quaint and inviting!
I'm sure you can think of many more.


Try not to let your small talk go on to long, we do not want to take up to
much of their time or ours. We still want to look professional.
I always ask for the lady of the house if a man answers the door. I also say
something funny, like, "I know you would not be interested in helping out
with a lipstick survey, most men prefer not to wear it! I then ask when
would be a good time to come back. I do this because they really relax and
do not feel threatened by your sales presence.


I also have the best results in the middle class neighborhoods.
___________To go on with the survey, she says sure! And then I say great! I
have a few samples to choose from here. I realize these might not be your
color preference, but I just grabbed a few. Which color would you like to
try? Great! I will phone you in two days with just a few questions
regarding the product. What would be best for you? Days or evenings? Is
there a certain time you would like me to try? Great, thank you for your
time have a great day! I'll talk to you soon!


I always dress very professional. I never take my eyes off of hers. You have
to be confident and very relaxed .I smile a lot and even if someone is
uninterested. I still give them a sincere thank you , kill them with
kindness. I want them to know what we are all about in Mary Kay, leave a
good impression, and pave the way for the next consultant that may come her
way someday. "When you do that you can even sense a different air about them
when you leave."


SURVEY RETURN PHONE CALL

Hi _________, this is __________ I stopped by your door with the sample of
lipstick a couple of days ago. Is this an o.k. time for you? Great! Did you
get a chance to try the lipstick sample? Great! I just have a few questions
for you.

1. What was the color of lipstick you tried?
2. Were you pleased with the intensity of color?
3. Was the application easy?
4. How would you rate the moisture quality of the product on a scale of 1-5

1.not pleased-------------------------5. You loved it!

 Would you ever be willing to give us your opinion of the 2003 skin care line? Again, not to buy, just tosample and then I would ask you just a few more Questions? Great! It will befun, it takes about 20 minutes, or so.  What would be best for you? Morning or evening? Wouldyou like me to stop by or would you like to come to my home? Great! I'll
look forward to seeing you. I will also give you a reminder call the night
before. Thank you so much for your time!


On the day of the appointment: bring your roll up, beauty book, look book,
and miracle set in the gift bag. You will also bring of course your skin care class needs;
a mirror tray, skin care samples etc.

I go through the skin care and miracle set as I would in a class. I then say
" I can't sell anything to you today, this was just for the survey." But if
you were tempted by anything I will let you know How it comes.
Go through the price of the sets. Let them know about the 5 ways to pay, and
your great hostess programs. Let them know that you will call them later to
see what they were interested in.

Remember you must not let them buy at your appointment. This was only for
the survey. If you do they loose their trust in you.
Remember you are targeting women in your area. You can easily run their product
back to them , and go more into our other products then too. Maybe, even
schedule another appointment with them, and sell away!!

You can target women who are home in the day or night which ever you prefer.
They are a hop , skip, and a jump away. (HOW AWESOME!)
You meet great women! Future team members and great customers!
I sooooo Love to do this survey! In my first round , of about 15 lipstick
hand outs. I got 2 new AWSOME! Team members that I love and a few new great
customers.

You will also meet women who use M.K but no longer have a consultant.If they
have one I leave them alone

PLEASE! Go out and try this , I know you will love it! It' fun and easy! And
you get to work in GODS CREATION!! The GREAT OUTDOORS! Just believe in
yourself and go!! I did it! I know you CAN DO IT!!
