Please read all this message, even if you don't think you want the car right now.......it is really good education for building your business!

 

What does it take?  First things first: be holding appointments - preferably classes as that puts you in front of more people at a time!  Then, after you have sold the product and scheduled future appointments, you select someone from the class and talk to her about the opportunity. 

 

On the average, it takes interviewing 4-5 prospects to get 1 decision.  So, when you are holding2 classes/week and selecting 1 from each class, you will be interviewing 2/week = 8/month.  That is a pretty much guaranteed 1, if not 2 recruits/month!!!!! 

 

As soon as you have 5 recruits and a minimum of $4,000 wholesale production from the team - including your order - you are first month "on target" for your car!  You have a maximum of 4 consecutive months to finish with 12 recruits and $18,000 (actually an average of $4,500 each month...you just have to have a minimum of $4,000 each month) in wholesale orders from you (there is a maximum of $4,000 that you can do personally during the qualification period) and your team.  There are Consultants doing this in 1 and 2 months!  Of course, if you want it sooner, you just increase your activity!

 

Make your time work for you!  Each time you hold an appointment, take along a prospect or a new Consultant for their training and your help!  It makes everything go smoother and nothing will motivate someone to a decision quicker than a full money bag!  When she sees money exchanging hands she becomes a believer really fast!  You will still have people who can't do that, so hold recruiting appointments either just before, or just after (the Hostess!) the class!  You can also use your lunch hour for that!  If you aren't really sure how to present the Marketing Plan, please let me know.....I'm here to help you!

 

This is only hard if you don't have selling appointments! With plenty of those booked you will always have prospects, always be making $$, and having so much fun!  When you don't have selling appointments booked, you start to feel like you are "pulling the wool over their eyes" by telling them how great this opportunity is, you aren't making $$, and you become stressed!

 

When you schedule your appointments, be sure to tell them that this is a business with you and they can count on you to be there rain or shine and that you know you can expect the same from them.  If they do need to change to please give you 24-48 hours notice so you can put someone else in their place. (As a side note, if someone postpones more than twice, I will put them in the same time slot with someone else.  If this is your business, then you must take charge of your time) Then, find out what she wants from her party!  Does she want to earn the Basic?  More glamour?  Get a total $ amount that she wants, then show her how to get it. 

 

For example - if she wants a Color 101 set (they are $102 now) she would need to sell $510 and have 2 bookings in order to get that totally free (20% of $510 is $102). The mathematical formula for that is $102 (amount she wants) = 20%(what she gets of the sales with 2 bookings) of ?(amount she needs to sell).  So ? = $102 divided by .20 = $510.  Remember that when you divide by a percentage you get a larger number.  Don't get too hung up on the math - find a way to figure it out easily!

 

Always give the example with 2 bookings - that gives her the maximum credit of 20% and keeps you in business!  (I know there are a lot of Hostess programs out there, so work with what you like the best.  Mary Kay's original idea of a % of the sales has always worked - you can do other special things for a specific time period.)
