Holiday Sneak Previews...

The products may change from year to year but the ideas are still great?.

This way you will know exactly what to order open stock! Or call it Holiday "Early Bird" Discount Days...September 15 - 20!


HOLIDAY SNEAK PREVIEW
Dear All*Stars, This is a great idea that I got from a Director on-line with me!! This is one of the best ideas I have heard for getting the word out about the new Holiday line!! If you are new or if you have never had an Open House, this is the way to go!!
Here is what you do:
1. Order one of each holiday item and fragrance
2. This is about 488 retail; you'll get a 50% discount. BONUS: You will then get a 50% discount on all orders you place between Sept. 16 and Dec. 15 no matter how large or small they are!!!!! (See my earlier email "New Order Form")
3. Call all your customers and say: "I am having a holiday sneak preview on ____ (date) ____ from Time) __ (1 hour is enough) and I need your help! Ifyou will just come and give me your opinion of our new Holiday products you can choose any one-holiday set/product of your choice for 1/2 price. It will only take a few minutes. Thank you for you help." Offer each customer a special gift (perhaps several samples wrapped in tissue and curly ribbon or an eyeshadow) for bringing a guest with her. Over 18
4. When your clients arrive have wish lists ready for them to fill out
5. Have Satin Hands out for them to try and the Satin Lips and new Day/Night Solution. Do the Satin Mask on lips first, then satin hands and when they go to wash they can wash it all off at once, and then apply the handcream and satin lip balm. Apply the day solution to one elbow and the night solution to the other. (The hands are already treated from the satin hands).
6. Have all holiday items displayed with tags next to them with their name and price (Ex: Cybershine Set-$20) Have a tester available of each fragrance. (Put a sticker on them that says tester)
7) Have regular line items out, too.
8) Take holiday orders.
9) Place an order with the company for what you have sold.
The Director that did this said it was very successful and she is going to do it again next week and call it the' 2nd chance sneak preview' for those who were unable to attend last week. The sales averaged $300 for those who participated.

Could you get excited.......I mean REALLY EXCITED, about having a $1000 day? If you could use an extra grand read on.........This idea came from Sr. Director Winnie Thorp-Rapp, Appleton City, Mo. (pop.1200) When I asked her what kind of success she had with this, she told me 100%!!!!! That's good enough for me!!

Have you started thinking about Christmas yet? Seems like it gets earlier every year, doesn't it! Well, I have to start thinking about what I need in inventory ahead, and this year I would like to pass along to you my preferred customer, some of the advantages I receive for ordering early and in volume. Naturally, I can stock my inventory at a bigger discount if I order more at one time, and to make sure I have enough of the special limited edition products for my customers, I must order early.
So here's the deal.....Order $200 in anything you'd like, including the limited edition Holiday items, stock up, or get your Christmas, birthday, shower gifts,etc. purchased ahead of time and you can get an additional $50 in your choice of product free!!!!
I must send my order in before the 25th of this month, so relax and shop at home from our new " THE LOOK" booklet. Thank-you so much for your loyalty to Mary Kay and to me as your consultant. Mail this letter, along w/ a Holiday Look Booklet. The samples that you could use could be a color select card, samples of the new Holiday lip colors, the spiced ciders, and sugar plums, or any thing you think your client would enjoy. As a gift, you could sent them a fragrance miniature, or a preferred customer gift. Those cute little brush sets that we are offering now would be great!! Do you have some previous PC premiums.....those would work well to!! Put this all in a padded envelope, and then follow up!! You're follow-up call may go something like this.......

Hi Sally, this is Winnie w/ MK Cosmetics. Can I keep you a minute? Did you get my letter and the packet of goodies that I sent out to you? Aren't they great!! I just knew that there would be some things that you would love!! I'm calling to see when would be a good time in the next couple of days, that I could come by and bring you" my store" so
you can see all the great ideas we have for the holidays. What would be best for you______ or _______.

Winnie told me that she felt that the success of this offer was of course doing it early. So many people shop early, and then including some samples, and a small gift. She was "assuming the sale." Ha....Have we heard that before?? And the free product figures to about 20%. was so excited about this idea that I immediately got in the phone and called on of my customers, and sold her the $200 package right over the phone!! It's not too late to act on this, but you'll want to put it into action ASAP!!!!! You'll want to get your order in THIS MONTH as the holiday line typically sell out fast!!
Let me know your results. I predict a lot of trips to the bank!!

Just think ladies (and gentlemen) - 10 customers buying a $200 pack = $2,000 to order product = $4,000 retail on your shelf/sold! Plus a star on your ladder - a great gift for you! WOW! What a holiday season. And if you have 20 customers buying it's $4,000 or $8,000 on your shelf/retail ....hmmm if you have 100 customers - can you even imagine it? $20,000!!!!!! The sky's the limit - reach for it!
