Mary Kay Ash.. Nation's Top Female Entrepreneur!!

Mary Kay Ash: Nation's Top Female Entrepreneur!

In a recent study initiated by Baylor University management professor Blaine McCormick, Mary Kay Ash topped the list of greatest female business entrepreneurs in American history. Oprah Winfrey ranked No. 2 with approximately half as many votes.

McCormick and his partner, business historian Burt Folsom Jr., surveyed business historians across the country asking them who belongs on the Top 10 list of the greatest entrepreneurs in American history.

In a Dallas Morning News article, McCormick explained that he separated women and minorities from the overall ranking because they deserved separate winners as they are at a historical disadvantage.

"In 15 years, we will not need these. Mary Kay will hold her own," McCormick said in the article. "She was a real giant and set a template for women in business."
