When determining whether or not to interview a candidate for your team, take an objective look at her and ask the following questions of her (to yourself). Remember, our business works best on rules rather than exceptions.
1.. RULE She pays a mortgage payment monthly and/or owns her home. ____ EXCEPTION She rents an apartment and/or lives with family.___
2.. RULE She has available credit (Visa/MC) and uses a checking account. ___ EXCEPTION She pays only in cash.___
3.. RULE She has a support system - a supportive husband, family, significant other, etc ____ EXCEPTION She is a single mom and/or has a non-supportive husband or significant other. ___
4.. RULE She has purchased her Basic Set and has booked a class. ____ EXCEPTION She purchased just 1 or 2 items. (not on the basic)___
5.. RULE She is accountable. She held her original appointment or called to reschedule. ____ EXCEPTION She didn't show for her original appointment and had excuses for what went wrong when you called her back.___
6.. RULE She has in depth questions about MK business opportunity - co info, promos, money ____ EXCEPTION She has a vague interest in knowing about the company. ___
7.. RULE She asked you how many hours you work.___ EXCEPTION She asked you how many hours do you have to work.___
8.. RULE She asked how much inventory is best. ___ EXCEPTION She asked if you had to have inventory.___
9.. RULE She has wonderful integrity. She would do things the Mary Kay way.___ EXCEPTION She tends to look for shortcuts - tends to curse or speak negatively of others. ___

Quality prospect: 20 or more in the "Rule" column Desirable Prospect: 15-19 in the "Rule" Column. Less than 15: An exception. More likely to be a good customer.
