INVENTORY OPTIONS

Below are the new consultant product packages and the FREE product bonus the company gives when you place one of the below packages as your first order to begin your business. What you start your business with, makes no difference to me or your recruiter, because we don't make money on you having product, but you selling it, but it will make a huge difference to you and your success. So, choose to start wisely and don't make this a money decision, because there is no way you can lose money by purchasing product, even if you weren't successful in Mary Kay, with the 90% buy back and the fact that the company allows you to keep the free product bonus just for trying Mary Kay, you'll always come out ahead. The pictures of the packages are only to give you an idea of the amount of product that you will receive, the actual products in your package will be "designed" by your Director based on years of experience of knowing what products sell the fastest, your age, your target market, your race and lifestyle. Again, choose wisely, this is a business and you need to operate it as such. I have never had anyone regret ordering too much product, only women who looked back with regret that they didn't take it seriously and caused themselves much frustration by not starting out with enough. As soon as your product is ordered, your recruiter will set up a date to hold your first class or grand opening, so we can get your business jump started!

Career Package

This is the product package that Mary Kay considers profit level for a new consultant her first 4-6 weeks in business. Because we have 10 lines of product, this package would give you enough product to sustain you through 2 appointments a week without having to borrow, swap and trade. You can immediately take a 60/40 split on your profits, thus paying your initial order off faster than with a smaller inventory on hand that must put all of the profits back in to buying more inventory. Even if you started your business with this package and didn't sell anything (which has never happened) the company would refund you 90% = $3,240 and you get to keep the free product bonus they give you with this package, which is $600 (you can sell, give away or use), thus giving you a total of $3,840 if you got in, got out, sold nothing! As you can see there is no way you can lose by having product on hand, but remember you cannot sell what you do not have - - so order smart! Having adequate product to run your business saves you money, time and draws people to you!

Professional Package

This package is enough to sustain you through 1-2 appointments per week (not 2 every week, but on occassion). You can still take a 60/40 profit split, but the difference in this package and the Career Package is, the Professional Package has less boutique items in it (fragrance, body care, nail care, mens products, sun products, holiday or seasonal products). It would still give you a little of all ten lines of product; however, you would need to make sure the 60% you reinvest toward products would go toward filling in holes in your inventory of products that you have very little of.

 

Premium Package

This package is what we loving refer to as a very "part-time" consultant holding 1 appointment or less each week. This package has skin care, glamour and a small amount of body care and fragrance (for example out of the 4 private spa fragrance options we have, you would get one of the four) With this package it is suggested that you reinvest 70% of your sales back into inventory and only take 30% profit, so that you can build your inventory and avoid frustration of not having what people want on hand, until you can build your on hand inventory up to $3,600 or better.

 

Superior Package

This package is what we loving refer to as a "Hobby" package. With this package you receive full skin care, some glamour (example out of the 39 or so lipstick shades that we carry, you would have approximately 18 or 19 of them). This package does not have any boutique items (fragrances, body care products, nail care products, men's products, sun care, etc). With this package they suggest that you reinvest 80% of your sales back into building your inventory and only take 20% profit, until you build your on hand inventory to $3,600 or better.

 

Enhanced Package

This package is not really considered a business package but more for someone who wants to have enough product for herself and two friends. For example, out of the 20 colors of foundation we have in Full Coverage, 20 in Medium Coverage, 10 in Creme-To-Powder, 9 in Dual-Coverage and 15 in Day Radiance Cream Foundations, with this package you would recieve approximately 6 total foundations (not in each but over all). So, the odds of us knowing exactly the first 6 colors and formulas that you are going to sell, would be very slim. This package has a little glamour and no other lines of product. With this package, the company suggests that you reinvest 100% of all sales and profits back into repurchasing product until you build it to $3,600 or better if you want to run your Mary Kay as a profitable business.

Basic Package

This package is what independant research studies has found is under a woman's sink in approximately 6 months. It has approximately 3 cleansers, moisturizers, and skin supplements in it and a smattering of glamour products that everyone needs. With this package the company suggests that you reinvest 100% back into repurchasing product until you build your inventory to a business level of $3,600 or better before taking any profits if you want to run your Mary Kay as a business.
