Trading Faces (5-10-04)

Earlier this week, I sent out the clever "Trading Faces" booking idea with
flyer... OZsome graphic artist Jeri Greene (who happens to have a birthday today!) has redone it in color in a PDF file for us. Thanks, lady! This would be so cute to promote to mothers-daughters for some Mother's Day quality time! Have fun  booking & Happy Easter!  EESD Dorothy Boyd

TRADING FACES POSTCARD

I have had several trading faces parties in my home.  Have also done a few for hostesses.  I tell them to come and bring a friend (or they can pair up at the class).  I have some ready-made look cards for them to pick from, and they choose a look for their friend and vice versa.  I encourage them to pick something their friend doesn't normally wear, so she can try something different.  Skin care first - but just go through it really quickly.  You want them to start with a "clean canvass".  They apply their own colours.  Walk them through the glamour and have fun!  I've heard of people putting up a cardboard or some other type of barrier between the partners so they can't see each other until they're done, but I've never done that. Incidentally, when I have these at my home I invite people to come and bring a friend.  If they bring a friend who is not already a customer of mine they get a half price item and their friend gets a free gift (pretty wrapped spa sampler or something).  This encourages them to bring someone new rather than the same girls that come to the same parties in the small village where I live.

I am getting 4-6 together at a time, not really booking with hostess
credit but everyone gets a gift. We all go through skin care together, (at a
guest event they come with everthing on up to the foundation);before the class
starts they picked each others glamour looks (I'm using 101 cards) This is
done in seceret, their "trading faces" buddy doesn't get to peek or know
what  her friend has chosen. Then they apply each others glamour following the
instructions on the card they don't know the colors chosen and don't get
to peek.Then they close their eyes, we hand them a mirror and 1,2,3...open
your eyes! I offer items from my classic pink collection (all the pink items I
want to get rid of) just for coming, or the PCP brush set (their tools of the
trade) with a $30.00 purchase. Hope this information helps, have fun,
